Leading Food Manufacturer now looking for an Electrical Engineer…
ROLE
Purpose:
To carry out mechanical/electrical maintenance and repairs to ensure maximum plant availability whilst maintaining exceptionally high factory standards. To assist in project, installation and commissioning of equipment as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
Comply with safe working practices at all times and report any safety concerns to the Maintenance Manager
Resolve electrical and mechanical plant failures as required
Complete PPM according to the schedule and as directed by the Maintenance Manager
Complete line change-overs as efficiently as possible according to the production plan
Work closely with the hygiene team to strip and re-build plant to allow access for cleaning purposes
Assist as appropriate with the design, installation and commissioning of new equipment
Complete improvement projects on new and existing plant as directed by the Maintenance manager
Compile downtime reports post plant breakdowns
Communicate with the production team effectively when completing work on line during production
Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by the Maintenance Manager
CANDIDATE
You will be electrically biased with experience of maintenance work within manufacturing. Experience in the Food sector would be desirable.
Hours of working will be dayshift Monday – Friday, a typical week could be 6:00 – 14:30 with a 30 minute unpaid break however the hours are flexible dependent on the needs of the business..
Holidays will be 29 days per year which include 6 statutory days which use 4 days at Christmas, and 2 days at Easter.
Salary £47K
