A unique and exciting opportunity has come up for a highly technical and assertive Business Systems Analyst to join a global Pharmaceutical company undergoing a period of significant growth.
This opportunity is available to applicants throughout the UK as the position offers remote working. They have offices based in the North and London if preference would be to work on site.
European travel on a monthly basis averaging 5- 7 days a month is an integral part of the role so applicants must be willing to commit to travel to European sites. The travel schedule will be planned and managed by the successful Business Systems Analyst inline with identified business needs.
Due to a recent acquisition, the Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for the analysis of the systems in place, identifying what works well, what doesn't and recommendations going forward. It may be that the systems will be replaced with those in the corporate structure, that decision will fall under your remit.
Another key responsibility is the SLA's in place, again what works, what doesn't...should they use 3rd parties and should the current agreements be reviewed.
This is a hands on technical role so the Business Systems Analyst as well as having a good eye for detail, processes and procedures should also have experience in upgrading, implementing and managing systems.
Key responsibilities include:
·Manage/ assist to inventory and rationalize the local site application portfolio
·Work with local business users and managers to gather information on the use of applications
·Prepare high level work plan while analyzing complexity and risk for each application including recommendation for application disposition (following existing IT&S Security Integration process)
·Assess and document architecture of applications in use at the local site
·Manage and support application vendors during on-site installation and application migration activities
·Provide support and direction to other Senior Analysts
·Manage and support the local go-live troubleshooting of application configuration
·Reporting the progress and risks to designated leadership
·Prior experience with a wide portfolio of business area and applications gained over on the job experience
·Bachelor degree in Computer Science/CIS or similar
·Expertise with Microsoft software and Windows Server Editions
·Proven experience troubleshooting application issues
·Excellent communicator- ability to report and document the activities, ability to work with multiple teams across IT
·Knowledge of governance requirements
·Experience with validation procedure and documents (DS, TS, IQ, OQ, PQ etc.)
