Job Summary
My client is seeking an individual who can support with calculating food costs for menu creation and preparing loading charts for delivery notes and billing purposes. You will gather, organise, and share the finalised menu details, and take part in the menu presentation process to ensure that all new food costing requirements are accurately documented.
Key Responsibilities:
Promptly and professionally gather, present, and distribute all food information.
Develop precise cost breakdowns for customer food pricing based on agreed specifications.
Maintain and update all costing data, specifications, and pricing information.
Assist in menu presentations, preparing costs and specifications beforehand.
Record detailed notes, including any recipe modifications and product weight changes.
Take photographs of the agreed-upon meals.
Create loading ratio grids for setting up base delivery notes.
Provide daily support using expertise in accounts and system reports for loading charts, specifications, and recipe methods.
Use customer systems to retrieve and upload food, loading, and pricing information.
Experience:
Assist procurement efforts by providing precise costing activities.
Skilled in food costing.
Proficient in using Excel and Word.
Capable of working with various databases, including in-house systems.
Strong financial acumen with a solid grasp of pricing policies and food cost values.
Able to multitask, manage strict deadlines, and work within tight timeframes.
Possesses strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy, and a methodical and logical approach.
Flexible with work hours, especially during food costing presentations and customer-driven deadlines.
