Our client is a successful food manufacturer and an award winning business with an exciting and innovative product range. The business is very dynamic and they are experiencing excellent growth.

Due to recent growth, they are looking to expand their team with the role of a Commercial Manager.

Candidates will need top 4 grocery retail experince, strong communication, analytical/ numerate skills and maintaining strong relationships with clients/customers. If you are ready to progress in the FMCG industry at the convenience of your own home, then this could be the next step for you.

The role :
You will be in charge of managing the day to day running and active development of a selection of Retail accounts which will be delegated to you by the Sales Director. You will help to deliver multi-million growth in selected Retail National accounts and will have overall responsibility for the profitability for each Retail customer in your portfolio

Responsibilities

· Provide forecast of known activity by SKU and value

· Provide opportunities complete with forecast values and probabilities

· Build relationships with buyer, category development and technical teams for each retail national account

· Maintain relationships with depot teams

· Manage service levels and portfolios

· Monitor waste levels and action accordingly

· Co-ordinate all aspects for new product launches and product de-lists

· Manage all NPD for each retail account.

· Co-ordinate regular customer visits – on site customer and on site Aberdeen

· Manage promotional activity for each account and ensure commercial sign off and operational acceptance

· Co-ordinate with on-site technical team for all technical visits and audits, you must be aware of technical requirements for each customer

· Prepare board papers to appraise the board through the Sales Director of all the activity within your accounts

Knowledge:

You will have experience in analysing the market to target opportunities and be knowledgeable in current purchasing trends to be able to present products into GAP analysis.
