We have an amazing opportunity on offer, the client is looking to strengthen and build on their current marketplace in Scotland. Initially through maintaining and building on the key customer accounts currently across Scotland, through a planned period of growth strategies the appointed Commercial Manager will be a key figure in bringing this period of growth and expansion to fruition.
The role:
Develop key commercial relationships that will facilitate the delivery of volume targets through their key strategic locations
Support the development of retail business on Seed and Fertiliser through the development of 3rd party relationships
Support the development of grain procurement in the region with a particular focus on Milling Wheat and Oilseed Rape
Collate and analyze relevant market information in the region and provide monthly updates and recommendations to the Managing Director and relevant trading departmental heads
To be involved with the trading of feedstuffs within specified risk parameters in consultation with the relevant traders
In conjunction with the relevant feed traders, to deliver market prices and information deliver these to customers for the benefit of the company. Actively communicate any market intelligence with internal stakeholder
Provide key trading partners with daily market information to further the clients commercial objectives
Overriding responsibility to meet the objectives set by the company and follow instructions set out by Managing Director
The candidate:
A degree in Agriculture, Business, Economics, Mathematics or similar discipline would be beneficial
High level of numeracy and results orientated
Assertive, with strong self-motivation and has the ability to set challenging goals
The ability to negotiate in challenging circumstances and make fast and accurate decisions
Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)
Commercially focused and able to translate the product
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
