Commercial Account Manager

Location: Peterhead.
Salary: Dependant on experience.
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Reports To: Commercial Director.

Are you passionate about the food industry and ready to take on a dynamic, customer-focused role? We are looking for a motivated Commercial Account Manager to join our team. You will play a key role in maintaining relationships with our valued own-brand label customers and developing new business opportunities, helping to drive the growth of our company.

The Role
As a Commercial Account Manager, you will work closely with the Commercial Director to manage current customer accounts and proactively source new business opportunities. You’ll have the chance to contribute to our overall commercial strategy, develop strong customer relationships, and be directly involved in the launch of exciting new products.

Key Responsibilities
• Account Management: Manage sales to designated customers, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring a high level of service.
• Customer Engagement: Proactively contact customers to identify growth opportunities and introduce new products.
• New Business Development: Source and secure new customers to expand the company's reach.
• Sales Strategy: Collaborate on the development of key sales and promotional strategies, implementing joint business plans with customers to drive growth.
• Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail buying teams, ensuring positive engagement and long-term collaboration.
• Negotiation & Pricing: Negotiate prices and terms, ensuring profitability while meeting customer expectations.
• Product Launches: Play a key role in developing and launching new products, ensuring they meet customer needs and market demands.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sales activities.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with Directors, Senior Managers, and other team members to contribute to the overall commercial strategy and business growth.

• Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate terms and secure favourable outcomes for both the company and customers.

Experience
• Interest in the Food Industry: A passion for the food industry is essential.
• Previous Industry Experience: Previous experience in the food industry is advantageous but not essential.
• Sales Experience: Sales or commercial experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
