Being and HSE Manager is no easy task, and it certainly is not a repetitive position. More importantly you certainly will not be sat at your desk, tapping away at your computer while polishing off 2 packets of biscuits on a daily basis, you will be on the floor leading by example and providing hands on experience on how to get things done right first time in the safest of manners. You will be based at the companies Flintshire site, working with an amazing and talented group of professionals, and being part of a Global HSE team, you will work with some great individuals all across the world.
You will have strong leadership skills, and will need to keep your ear to the ground to ensure to maintain a proactive approach to your work. With a workforce such as this, you will get the chance to work with some fantastic characters and therefore will need to be able to build strong relationships and have a flexible working style to ensure everyone understands the role they play in relation to maintaining a high Health and Safety environment.
You have done this job before so I am sure you do not need reminding about the time management and problem solving skills you will need to have, but even within the hardest of times you will need to have a calm and collected demeanour, positive attitude and the ability to continuously improve the sites standards. Believe when I say, you will certainly have the backing from senior management, they operate an open door policy so you are always welcome to discuss your ideas with them, in fact its encouraged.
