Job Description

On behalf of our client, a very successful food business based in North Kent, we are looking for a Production Planner to To ensure production volumes, required fruit and labour is communicated to production team through a descriptive, systematic and clear plan

* Note working hours are 5am to 5pm or 5pm to 5am Wednesday to Saturday to start with, this will be reviewed by end of probation (6 month)*



Key Responsibilities
• Ensure daily production volume is distributed to factory teams 30min prior start of the shift
• Ensure daily plan is generated for materials requirement ( packaging and fruit ), while also including labour and processing times requirement
• To report any anomalies identified which may impact factory efficiencies and support resolution
• To challenge any overuse on materials or excessive head count, report accordingly to Senior Management
• To generate daily, weekly, monthly KPI reports as per Senior Management requests
• To identify major efficiency losses through detailed daily checks on performance related paperwork
• Attend weekly meetings with Production Manager to discuss previous week high and lows, preventives
• To be involved on improvement projects as per Senior management requests

Performance Indicators
• 99% accuracy on production plan details ( 1% relates to forecast uplift or decrease )
• Punnet cost ( below 20pence/day )

Key Skill and Experience Requirements
• IT skills ( Excel, Outlook, Power point essential )
• Good numerical and literacy standard
• Good communication skills ( talking and listening )
• Team work, able to work and liaise with others to ensure team goals are successfully achieved
• Good Emotional control ( EI )

Other Role Requirements
• The role involves some manual handling and the ability to withstand working in cold storage conditions from time to time
• The role requires an alert disposition
• Travel to other Company or off-site meeting locations may be required from time to time
