You will be a category manager in food or fmcg who can create compelling stories to help drive sales. You might be interested in this role because it offers the opportunity for man management and broader marketing involvement or because there is lots of capacity for growth but with the security of established business, hopefully both these things are just the challenge you are looking for.
This business are established suppliers and partners to most of the major retailers but with expanding factory capabilities they are preparing for a further growth push in 2023.
They expect category insight to play a big part in their success so this is a pivotal role, they buy data from IRI and Nielsen and have a marketing assistant already.
They do have an existing category marketing manager who is moving on for a new challenge on good terms and leaving them in a good place but with lots of work and opportunities to challenge the new incoming manager.
In addition to the category marketing, the role will also have full marketing responsibility for the UK which includes but is not limited to management of websites, social media, PR, brand management/ development, event management (albeit infrequent) and artwork development/ management. Much of this day to day marketing work will be undertaken by a marketing assistant and 3rd party agencies – this role has responsibility to manage both.
The role is home based with flexible working; this role is workable for someone in north England, Yorkshire, north west or north east.
Basic salary circa £40-55k + great benefits + bonus
