Job Description

Looking to speak with C.I experts that have experience in the following manufacturing sectors, Food & Drink Manufacturing, FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Automotive (Tier 1), Aerospace and Medical Devices.

This is a multi-site role with a Food Manufacturer that are investing in group wide improvement projects.

These business units are at the start of their Lean journey, so this role will suit someone who is happy to do a mix of "hands on" coaching / strategy implementation.

Reporting to the Head of Continuous Improvement, the role will require occasional travel.

Role:

– Help implement Group C.I strategy for the Manufacturing Units.
– Partner the Site Leads to identify and develop productivity ideas generation and delivery.
– Help build a strong foundation within the teams aligned to TPM (Total Productive Maintenance). This role will provide hands on guidance and support to all the – IL6S pillars laterally with particular focus on developing Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM).
– Provide guidance to the teams to develop and engage their behaviours in the move towards High Performing Team ways of working.
– Use Black Belt problem solving skills to manage multiple projects to target higher efficiency and reduced cost.
– Operate as ‘coach’ to CI programmes assisting candidates in understanding content and supporting sponsors in advancing people through programme.
– Roll-out as required training programs for SMED, Kaizen A3 and standard work methodologies and in conjunction with Department leadership team engage the team to effectively utilise and sustain those methodologies.

The Candidate:

– Ideally be Six Sigma Black Belt / Green Belt certified.
– Must have experience in the following manufacturing sectors, Food & Drink Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, Aerospace, Automotive (Tier 1) and Medical Devices.
– TPM knowledge
– Good coaching skills.
– Demonstrate resilience.
– Extensive experience in successful application of Lean and 6 sigma techniques, Kaizen SMED and A3.
