We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Buyer with employment experience from working within an manufacturing/FMCG industry.

The role:

– You work closely with folks inside the company to figure out what's needed and come up with sourcing strategies to cut costs, boost supplier performance, manage demand, and reduce risks for European Procurement.

– You keep these strategies aligned with the company’s goals as they evolve.

– You use your market knowledge and understanding of the company's goals and spending to spot strategic options.

– You handle the preparation and distribution of requests for quotes, proposals, or info from suppliers.

– You’re the go-to negotiator with suppliers about pricing, terms, quality, and services.

– You ensure that contracts are developed and put in place properly, working closely with the legal team.

– You document and manage what suppliers need to deliver and track key performance metrics.

– You work with suppliers to manage contract expectations, delivery schedules, and invoicing, making sure everything stays within budget.

– You maintain and develop strong relationships with key suppliers.

– You make sure procurement best practices are followed in all processes.

– You work with internal risk and compliance teams to ensure that procurement strategies cover all legal, regulatory, and risk management needs.

– You support the wider supply chain team in keeping the right amount of inventory and cutting out waste, risks, and unnecessary exposure.

**Position Details:**
– **Contract:** Permanent, with hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days from home)
– **Salary:** £35,000 – £40,000, depending on experience
