The Role
The role of a Buyer-Grocery can be for a junior up and coming Buyer OR and established Senior Buyer, the organisation is looking for drive, passion for the highest quality grocery products and innovation. The role will include duties such as;
• Develop and research your category (oil’s, nuts, condiments, dry food & drinks…) by analysing and forecasting current and future trends.
• Collaborate with Sales Team to develop and deliver vision and strategy to drive category growth
• Identify new supplier and develop along with existing
• Lead NPD to identify new commercial opportunities
• Order processing and formulate forecast and monitor stock levels- Maintain competitive market pricing
Your Skills & Experience
To be considered for this opportunity you will need;
• Experience with FMCG supply chain purchasing within Grocery both UK and internationally
• Knowledge of UK and EU law regarding grocery regulations
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong IT and numerical skills, able to handle large data sets and produce forecasts (advanced Excel)
• A passion for exceptional Food!!
