Business Development Manager (Taste)
I am recruiting for a client based in Germany who are an industry leader within chemicals and ingredients distribution. We are looking to speak with candidates that have a ‘hunter’ attitude as 90% of this position will be spent developing new business.
This can be a fully remote or hybrid position based in either Cologne or Hamburg
Your tasks and responsibilities:
•Responsible for all business development activities related to Flavors, Colors and Extracts business in the relevant market sector (focus on Sweet goods: Bakery/Confectionery/Dairy)
•Development of new potential for flavors, extracts & colorings in Germany for existing customers
•Acquiring new customers with exciting activities for flavors, extracts & colorings
•Market and competition monitoring, identification of new business opportunities
•Regular customer visits and calls, both directly and together with other sales colleagues
•Representation of the company to potential and existing suppliers, customers, at trade fairs, specialist conferences and events
•Technical support for customers in the development of new recipes and applications
Your Profile
•Completed technical, scientific or commercial studies
•Experience in the Flavors and/or Extracts and/or Colorants industry
•Strong experience in the entire food and nutrition industry, particularly in the bakery, confectionery and/or dairy industry
•“Hunter” mentality with the will to achieve and exceed goals
•Sales/ Business Development experience with a track record of identifying business needs and creating appropriate solutions
•Experience in conducting analyzes in both commercial and technical fields
•Team player with a friendly demeanor
•Project management experience and knowledge of the distribution business are an advantage
•Very good knowledge of spoken and written German and English
