Job Title: Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding – North East

 Position Overview:

 We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our market leading top 5 Freight Forwarding company. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our client base within the freight forwarding industry. Your primary focus will be on identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships with potential clients, and developing strategies to increase revenue and market share.

 Key Responsibilities:

 Business Development Strategy: Formulate and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve organizational growth targets. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and opportunities for expansion. Develop a strong understanding of the freight forwarding market, including key competitors and industry dynamics.

 Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Identify and approach potential clients through various channels, including networking events, referrals, and cold outreach. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing customized solutions to meet their specific freight forwarding requirements. Work closely with existing clients to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, thereby maximizing customer retention and satisfaction.

 Sales and Negotiation: Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, showcasing the company's capabilities and services to potential clients. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both parties. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth service implementation and customer satisfaction.

 Market Intelligence and Competitor Analysis: Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact the freight forwarding business. Conduct regular competitor analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas of opportunity for our company.

Exceptional benefits:

-£40,000 – £45,000 plus commission
-Company car plus fuel paid for
-1 day in office the rest remote

Required:

-2 years experience multi modal freight forwarding
