Account Manager Savory
I am recruiting for a client based in Germany who are an industry leader within chemicals and ingredients distribution. This will be a 50-50 split between new business development and account management
This can be a fully remote or hybrid position based in either Cologne or Hamburg
Your tasks and responsibilities:
•Germany-wide management, planning and control of sales and distribution activities in the Savory area
•Responsible for the business development activities related to the Savory business in the relevant market sector
•Definition and implementation of the market strategy including the coordination of annual budgets for your own areas
•Acquisition of new customers and development of intensive customer relationships
•Development and implementation of sales promotion and customer retention strategies
•Negotiations with customers and suppliers – both technical sales talks and in the context of price and condition agreements
•Constant market observation and derivation of recommendations for action
•Representation of the company at trade fairs, specialist conferences and events
What you need!
•Distinctive experience in the entire food and nutrition industry, particularly in the area of savory
•“Hunter” mentality with the will to achieve and exceed goals
•Sales/business development experience with a track record of identifying business needs and creating appropriate solutions
•Project management experience and knowledge of the distribution business are a plus
•Very good knowledge of spoken and written German and English
•High commitment, independent and structured way of working as well as solution orientation
•Excellent communication skills, high negotiation skills and a strong focus on results
