Are you a Multi-skilled Engineer within FMCG?

My client is a medium-sized FMCG company based in East Midland, who are looking to expand their Engineering team following an extensive phase of exciting growth within the company. The ideal candidate will have FMCG experience, as well as being more than competent with testing/commissioning of manufacturing machinery, strong Electrical skills with a range of PLC systems.

SALARY: £42k + benefits
SHIFT: Mon-Fri moving to 4 on / 4 off in September

Job Description

You will play a key role in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within the operation of the site. Asset reliability using CMMS. Working with the reliability team, you will drive performances under a model of TPM.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fault finding during production, reacting to machine or equipment failure whilst working quickly and effectively to focus on first time fix
• Performing planned and predicative maintenances tasks through the use of CMMS system
• Assessing need of spare parts
• Undertaking effective planning and prioritisation of workload where necessary
• Operating safe isolation and reinstatement of equipment under the terms of lockout-tag out
• Risk assessing all tasks and ensuring that work is performed safely, not endangering self or others
• Conforming to health and safety policies, procedures and practices
• Ensuring that resources are used to optimum effect
• Completing and maintaining accurate, timely documentation and records, as required by the business
• Maintaining the required standards of housekeeping and employing a clean as you go approach
• Supporting other teams and functions as required by the business
• Undertaking self-development activates as required by the business
• Undertaking any other tasks or duties as required by your line manager
• Contributing to the continued improvement processes and practices operated by the business
• Assisting with implementation and commissioning of site projects
