A vibrant and fast-growing foods manufacturer focused on supplying high-quality and innovative products to major UK retailers. The business has experienced growth over the last few years and has ambitious plans for the future to continue on its recent success.

We're looking for a candidate that shows enthusiasm, initiative, and excellent communication skills.

This will be a 4 on 4 off shift pattern which includes days and nights, working 12-hour shifts.

The role:

The Shift Manager will ensure that the production schedule is met safely, on time, in full, at cost, at the right quality first time, and by the most efficient utilisation of the resources available to them.
Key responsibilities will include:
Maintaining required standards of Good Manufacturing Practise (GMP) and SOP
To ensure the welfare, training, and development of the team.
Responsible for motivating, leading & coaching all Team Members.
Ensuring adherence to relevant H&S and Food Safety legislation
Managing existing procedures and developing new processes to ensure food safety, quality, hygiene, and production requirements are met. Minimising waste in the production process.
Maintaining KPI attainment

The candidate:

You will need a strong background in production leadership, preferably from a food industry/ FMCG environment.
It would be advantageous to have an understanding of automated manufacturing technology, including fault finding and problem-solving. (Although full process training will be given during the probation period)
Excellent communication skills, able to relay information to colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
Able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and coaching skills – be passionate about people and their development.
Familiarity with Health & Safety and Food Safety Legislation.
You will be hands-on and be somebody who leads by example.
