DRNewitt present a new and exclusive opportunity to join a growing business at a senior level and make a real difference to the future of the site.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working Monday - Friday 9-5 basis you will be responsible for the maintenance and development of large scale bread production plants. The lines are highly automated and will require knowledge and experience of PLC’s, Servo drives, Robotics and system networking. You will probably have a strong electrical bias. You will also have a sound knowledge of all related services required to run the plants and be able to demonstrate your commitment to working safely.

The site operates on a 24/7 basis and as such you must ensure its operation over that period. The bakery has a team of shift engineers to facilitate this, as well as providing support when necessary your role will include the development and training of these engineers.

The business encourages a level of project development within engineering and the role will give the opportunity to get involved in a level of design and build work alongside both third party engineering houses and OEM’s.

You should have experience leading an Engineering Team within a high volume manufacturing environment (ideally food manufacturing), with strong mechanical, electrical, PLC (ideally Allen Bradley) and IT/networking experience. Ideally you will have 17th edition and an engineering qualification to HND or higher.
