As an Area Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing the technical aspects of cake manufacturing across multiple sites. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure compliance with food safety regulations, drive process improvements, and champion quality assurance to maintain the highest standards of product excellence.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Develop and implement quality control procedures and processes to consistently deliver high-quality cakes that meet customer expectations.
Collaborate with production, R&D, and quality teams to establish and maintain product specifications, including ingredient lists, formulations, and processing methods.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP) and hygiene standards.
Lead investigations and root cause analyses of product quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions to drive continuous improvement.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.
Provide technical support and training to production teams, ensuring effective implementation of quality control measures and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Collaborate with suppliers and raw material providers to ensure the quality and safety of ingredients used in cake production.
Monitor and analyze key quality metrics, conducting trend analysis and implementing strategies to improve overall performance and customer satisfaction.
Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, participating in audits and inspections to maintain compliance and proactively address any issues.
Stay informed about changes in food safety regulations and industry standards, communicating updates and ensuring necessary adjustments are made within the organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
Extensive experience in the food industry, with a focus on cake manufacturing and quality assurance.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, quality control principles, and industry best practices.
Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to effectively guide and motivate cross-functional teams.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
