ROLE

Reporting into the Commercial Manager, main responsibilities include the following:

Preparation of Private Label (PL) customer specifications, on customer systems, ensuring data is complete and accurate, to meet customer deadlines.
Preparation of internal specifications for generation of pack copy information for marketing / artwork.
Maintenance of the company’s Product Data Management systems, ensuring data is up-to-date, and assisting in the set up of new products and product changes implemented in the company’s ERP system.
Collating and reporting of PL customer KPI information according to their schedules.
Assist the R&D department in conducting production trials and shelf-life trials (setting up, organoleptic micro and chemical testing and follow-up) for PL customers products.
Plan and carry out internal benchmarking & Taste Panels as required for PL customers
Completion of PL customer requests for supplementary and supporting quality information including questionnaires and Quality Attribute Sheets (QAS)
Ensure all PL customer websites data are kept up to date with to company’s data and contacts.
Monitoring of PL customer websites to ensure the company is kept informed of policy updates, technical requirements and information requests.
Carry out, where required, complaint investigations on quality claims for all PL products, and communicating information and samples, where necessary, to suppliers.
Arrange, prepare and participate in sampling and benchmarking meetings as required by PL customers.
Chemical surveillance monitoring of the company’s products, as required by PL customers, according to the company’s Chemical Testing schedule.

CANDIDATE

Qualification min HND in food technology or equivalent
Understanding of Food Labelling Law
Intermediate food hygiene qualification
Internal auditing trained
HACCP trained to basic level
Basic Microbiology understanding Sensory Evaluation Principles Trained
Project Management
Ability to time manage oneself
Team working and team player
Flexible and able to prioritize
