Supply Chain Planning Manager
Job description
Job Title: Customer Supply Manager
Location: Malvern
Reports To: Supply Chain Manager
Responsible For: 2x Supply Chain Planners
Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail orientated Customer Supply Manager to oversee the end-to-end planning and supply process between our global supply base and retail customers. This role is responsible for ensuring product availability, accurate forecasting and inventory management and strong collaboration across supply chain, commercial and our operations teams. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, data-driven and keen to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the primary supply chain contact for key customer accounts, building strong working relationships with their relevant teams to understand their processes and expectations.
- Create and maintain accurate medium to long term demand forecasts in collaboration with the commercial team.
- Analyse inventory levels, forecast accuracy and stock health, always seeking improvements.
- Support the customer service team with service and transport related difficulties.
- Lead customer collaboration meetings with regular performance reviews.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure we are constantly aligned to customer needs.
- Use KPIs to track service levels, OTIF and root cause analysis of service failures.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiencies.
- Support the team by gaining a strong understanding of their product/customer assortments and individual needs.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain/planning role, preferably within food/FMCG.
- Strong understanding of supply chain systems, including ERP (ideally SAP, Slimstock) and planning tools.
- Proven ability to manage complex customer relationships and cross-functional projects.
- Good understanding of factory planning processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis with strong Excel skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience working with major UK retailers.
- People management experience.
- Degree educated or holding a relevant qualification in related field.
