Role: Quality Auditor

Salary: £30,000

Work pattern: 3pm – 12am (Monday – Friday)

Location: Northamptonshire

About the role

An exciting opportunity to join a well-established food manufacturing business based in Northamptonshire as a Quality Auditor as a member of their site technical team. This role will focus on ensuring food safety, quality, and to maintain compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Operations on Food Safety, Quality, Legality, and Integrity.
• Conduct audits (CCP, GMP) to ensure compliance with standards.
• Monitor product quality, assembly, and adherence to factory specifications.
• Manage raw material intake, status control, and report non-conformances.
• Maintain product status and stock accuracy within systems.
• Carry out microbiological, allergen, protein, and DNA sampling and testing.
• Submit and manage laboratory samples, including re-testing of out-of-spec results.
• Perform cleaning validation and hygiene verification activities.
• Maintain QA databases, logs, and documentation accurately.
• Produce reports for audited areas as required.
• Ensure compliance with BRC, GMP and internal quality standards.

Experience and Skills

• Experience in food manufacturing production.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and CCP.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards.
• Strong knowledge of BRC standards.
• Strong communication skills.
• Raw materials expertise.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of internal auditing (BRC).
