Job Title: Product QA Co-ordinator
Location: West Sussex
Salary: £37,000
Reports To: Product QA Manager

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Product QA Co-ordinator to support the quality and stock management functions within a fast-paced food production environment. The successful candidate will help ensure that incoming raw materials and finished products consistently meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.

This role involves close collaboration with operational and commercial teams to maintain product integrity, manage stock effectively, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance

  • Carry out inspections of incoming raw materials and finished products to verify compliance with quality, safety, and customer specifications.
  • Identify and report quality concerns, deviations, and non-conformances.
  • Assist with root cause investigations and corrective action processes.
  • Monitor product presentation, packaging, labelling accuracy, and weight compliance.
  • Support internal and external product sampling activities.
  • Manage product shelf-life controls and related records.
  • Conduct routine verification checks on quality monitoring equipment.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and traceability records are maintained.

Stock & Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Allocate stock to customer orders according to availability and business priorities.
  • Work closely with production, warehouse, and support teams to coordinate stock movement and distribution.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain stock control systems to minimise waste and maximise product availability.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Collect and compile quality-related data for management reporting.
  • Support regular quality review meetings through accurate data provision.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance product quality, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, food safety requirements, and customer standards.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience within a quality assurance, quality control, or food manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of food safety principles and quality management systems.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and working with quality documentation.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and business software systems.
