Packaging Technologist
Job description
If you are interested in Packaging, and want a role with real autonomy somewhere you are given training and mentoring, but the freedom to manage your project work yourself - this might be your next role.
It's a Packaging Development role for a branded food company, based across two manufacturing sites in the Midlands. You might be a Process Technologist with experience in factory trials, or you might be a Packaging Technologist already (who is interested in more responsibility and autonomy), but you definitely have an interest in packaging as a subject, and an enthusiasm to learn and broaden your knowledge in packaging for food manufacturing.
You would be at your desk less than half of the time; usually you would be downstairs in production running trials, checking machinery tolerances, experimenting with new printing designs, and building rapport with the operations team to smooth out the introduction of new pack formats and materials. When you are at your desk, you would be co-ordinating your project work and also signing off on packaging design, updating packaging specs, and contributing to the product development programme.
- Monday to Friday, on site in the West Midlands, 0800 - 1700 with an hour off for lunch
- £40,000 - £50,000
- Enhanced pension scheme
- 25 days of annual leave plus statutory days.
If the above sounds good, and you have experience in factory trials and a genuine interest in Packaging, then apply today, and I will call you with more information.
