Hygiene Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hygiene Manager to join a well-established and award-winning food manufacturer based in South Wales.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and food safety are consistently maintained across the site. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated hygiene team and work closely with both the Technical and Operations departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of hygiene operatives

• Carry out hygiene audits across all areas of the site

• Oversee deep cleaning of high-level areas, drains, and storage spaces

• Conduct environmental swabbing as required

• Ensure cleaning schedules are completed in line with the production plan

• Work collaboratively with Technical and Operations to maintain hygiene best practices

• Respond promptly to hygiene-related issues or concerns

• Maintain accurate records of hygiene audits, inspections, and training

Essential Experience & Skills:

• Strong understanding of BRCGS Issue 9 standards and UK retailer codes of practice

• Hands-on experience with site hygiene audits

• Proven leadership in a hygiene-focused role within a food manufacturing environment

• A proactive, detail-oriented approach to hygiene and compliance
