Environmental, Health & Safety Lead- Permanent Role 

Location: Suffolk 
Reporting to: Operations Director

International Manufacturer of technology devices. With a global customer base, the business is on a rapid growth trajectory, scaling operations across the UK and internationally.

ROLE

Purpose

The EHS Officer will lead Environmental, Health & Safety strategy and execution at the manufacturing site, while building a scalable, repeatable EHS framework that can be deployed across all sites in the UK and abroad.

This is a hands-on operational leadership role, responsible for driving compliance, culture, risk reduction and environmental performance. The role sits on the Site Leadership Team alongside Operations and Quality, and will establish the cadence, governance and reporting structure for a global EHS management system.

CANDIDATE

Essential Skills & Experience

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001
  • Experience in highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation
  • Experience conducting investigations 
  • Cultural change mind set
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to all levels within a business.
  • Proven ability to build structured management systems
  • Fastidious approach to Continuous improvement 

Desirable:

  • NEBOSH Diploma
  • Experience in a high growth environment and a fast-paced business.

FURTHER DETAILS: 

  • Working Monday-Friday 8-4, 40 Hour week 
  • 25 Days Holiday + 8 Stats
  • Salary £50K- £60K Dependant on experience
